MonkeyDojo.com Sponsors Fayetteville Fencing Team

MonkeyDojo.com and parent company, Neo Otaku have been long time supporters of the All-American Fencing Club. MonkeyDojo.com is proud to be one of the biggest sponsors of the new All-American Fencing Academy.

On April 15, 2008, the All-American Fencing Academy will be opening it's doors at Downtown Fayetteville. In the heart of Fayetteville, the All-American Fencing Academy will begin providing fencing instruction, tournaments and open practice for the community.

The Fencing Academy is head coached by Gerhard Guevarra. The Fencing Academy's list of accolades have includes several qualifiers for the Junior Olympics and National Championships. The Academy provides not only recreational fencing, but offers the opportunity for competitive instruction. Many of the Academy's students compete locally, regionally and nationally.

Currently, the Academy provides classes and open fencing on Tuesdays and Wednesdays of every week, and Open House Fencing during Downtown Fayetteville's Fourth Friday. We welcome the whole community. Our fencers come from Fayetteville, Raeford, Lillington and Fort Bragg, NC. The All-American Fencing Academy is the only location teaching and training fencers within a 2 hour radius.

The All-American Fencing Academy is located at 207 B Donaldson Street, Fayetteville, NC (the same location as the Creative Dancers Workshop). Across the street and caddy cornered to the Cotton Exchange. For more information, visit www.allamericanfencing.com.

All-American Fencing Academy

EVERY Fourth Friday in Downtown Fayetteville, the All-American Fencing Academy is opening it's doors for all it's fencers and the community. Open fencing, available private lesson times, hanging out with friends, and most of all enjoying Downtown Fayetteville.

The community is also invited to come up to the school and watch our fencers, maybe take some trial lessons and learn more about the sport of fencing.

Fourth Friday Open Fencing starts at 7 p.m. and lasts until about 10 p.m. This tradition stems from our co-founders Patti and Ray Hoskins who used to fence in Sonoma Valley, CA. They would fence on Fridays and just stay late fencing, talking with friends and drinking wine. Although we can't drink wine in the Academy, you can always walk across the street to the Cotton Exchange and have some wine there. :)
